The Peated, was Hellyers Road Distillery's first peated expression release.

Aged in American Oak (ex-bourbon) and distilled using peated grain sourced from Inverness – Scotland, this single malt was recognised as the Australia's Best Peated Whisky (Malt Whisky Society of Australia Awards for Excellence in 2010). This peated single malt expression has a distinctive style all of its own. Peaty characters play on the palate more gingerly than its Scottish peated counterparts. With more restraint, this expression represents the best of new world peated whisky interpretations. Tasting Note
Hints of seared fern smokiness greets the nose with typical nuances of citrus, lemon and orange presenting through the haze. The palate is further complimented by a citrus sweetness with overtones of malt presenting. A lingering aftertaste conjures fresh forest regeneration with layers of youthful pine smoke and pepper omnipresent.
