For this year’s Lunar New Year, we have collaborated with James Jean, a world-renowned, celebrated contemporary artist and bold cultural pioneer. His hyper-stylized aesthetic floats between dreamlike fantasies with emotional undertones, he imbues his worlds with multiple references – from traditional Chinese scroll paintings to more modern movements, such as anime and comics. James Jean has reimagined a mythical Wood Dragon that springs from bountiful flora and fauna, bursting to life with auspicious ambition.

Evoking a sense of taking one’s time, just as the whiskies in John Walker & Sons XR 21 have matured for at least 21 years to blossom, we see James Jean’s Wood Dragon emerge from the ancient forest bringing with it the flourishes of good fortune.

This exceptional blend of perfectly matured whiskies is supremely smooth and complex, with intriguing layers of intense toffee, luscious fruits, and a sweet hint of creamy vanilla. Cloaked in warming smoke, it can be savored neat or on the rocks.
