Luisita Single Barrel PX-1003 Rum 700ml

Description

Inside the bodegas of Hacienda Luisita - an estate in Northern Luzon that was built over a century ago by the first Marques de Comillas of Spain - a quest for flavours relentlessly takes place. The sugarcane that is carefully grown on volcanic soil, nourished by the nearby Mt. Arayat, yields dark rich molasses that is fermented then distilled into a fine delicate spirit with characteristics that are further enhanced in ageing vessels.

The barrels are a range of different of different types of oak and origin. And because we never forget that our Spanish heritage is a part of who we are, there are few barrels sourced from a region in Andalucia, Spain called Jerez, the land of Sherry.

This rum was drawn from barrel number 1003, unfiltered and bottled as its actual strength of 62.0%, resulting in the truest expression of this particular cask.
