Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva is a timeless wine which represents almost two centuries of the winemaker’s skill. It has the traditional style of the Rioja Alavesa, recalling the aspirations of the founders of the bodega back in the 19th century.

The experience and know-how of the bodega ensure that the best vintages of this wine will keep for 50 years or more in the bottle, preserving a delicious flavour for sure. A wine for eternity.

TASTING NOTES

COLOR: Clean, clear and bright. Intense red color with garnet sparkles and shifting to tile color reflections. Very nice to look at.

NOSE: The nose highlights its complex and elegant aroma. The notes of cherished cherries that are fused with an aromatic wood of sandalwood and balsamic with memories of sweet spices and a mineral background predominate.

TASTE: Round mouth entry and infinitely elegant. It has very present tannins but very well integrated. Perfect balance with the feeling of fruit and its long aging with wood.

FOOD PAIRING

This wine pairs well with ham, mature cheese, red meat, all kinds of roasts and game casseroles.
