L'Encantada, a master in the art of cask strength, regularly introduces us to new estates carefully selected by Vincent, the cellar master.
The village of Lagrange was home to the Armagnac Le Sablé estate before its vines were uprooted. Only three vintages, as rare as they are exceptional, were produced: 1973, 1974, and 1976.
Distilled from the Baco grape variety, these eaux-de-vie are round and smooth.
A typical example of what an Armagnac d'auteur is, it was aged for 40 years in barrels at the estate's cellar before being bottled as a demijohn.
