Ron Zacapa XO

Containing a blend of rums from 6 to 26 year old, with an extra ageing stage in French oak barrels that previously held cognac.
This limited-release Ron Zacapa Centenario XO Solera Gran Reserva Especial (in a stylish flat decanter) won Gold in the Super-Premium category at the International Rum Festival for several years after its release in 2000, and was given the Platinum award for the Super-Premium category in 2002.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Calves leather, brown sugar, molasses, bourbon, hints of cedar, pipe tobacco, fruit, chocolate and brandy butter.
TASTE: Absolutely amazing intensity with waves of soft brown sugar, toffee, spicy oak, cedar and pipe tobacco.
FINISH: Long, warming Finish in sweet, soft spices.

Ron Zacapa No. 23
NOSE:

A soft start which develops complexity in the glass; sweet aromas of caramel, vanilla, cacao and butterscotch, combining with layers of flavour indicative of the different barrels in the solera process; sherried notes of caramelised, roasted brazil nuts and toasted hazelnut, and the characteristic rounded toffeed banana and dried pineapple of ex-American whiskey casks.

PALATE:
Wonderfully complex, generous and full-bodied, with a sweet honeyed viscosity atypical of an aged spirit; a great depth of raisined fruit and apricot preserves, building to an intense heart of savoury oak, nutmeg, leather and tobacco with notes of coffee and delicately sweet vanilla, balanced with a spicy touch of cinnamon and ginger on the pleasantly astringent finish; truly a rum for the discerning palate.

SEVING SUGGESTIONS:
Best enjoyed on a single large lump of pure, clear ice in a luxury rocks glass with a heavy base. Note: 50ml of Zacapa 23 contain 15.8 grams of alcohol

Talisker 10YO 

A classic Island dram from the Isle of Skye. Lots of spice and fresh, tangy peat. 

Nose: Thick, pungent smoke. Notes of kippers, seaweed, and apple peels. Fresh and fragrant

Palate: Full-bodied with huge plumes of smoke and volcanic, peppery peat. Intense.

Finish: Long finish, barley, malt.

ABV: 45.8%
