Description

Made with 26 botanicals, this is a reincarnation of Fontbonne Verte, a liqueur created by Jean Fontbonne in 1874.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Clear, pale apple green.
Aroma: Pungent and herbal with turmeric, pine, thyme, mint, liquorice and gentian.

Taste: Herbal with assertive black pepper spice. It's so complex that it's hard to pick out component notes, but gentian, mint, sage, and basil stand out. 

Overall: A viable alternative to Green Chartreuse, although not as intense in flavour or alcohol. Hence, some may prefer served as a neat, after-dinner liqueur to Chartreuse.
