Description

It's the first batch of single malt Irish whisky from Waterford made using grain from Sheestown grown on a single farm by Phillip O'Brien. The Single Farm Origin series explores the impact that terroir can have on a whisky, using barley grown on single farms around Ireland. Not simply fascination, they're also very tasty expressions, which is wonderful. This particular whisky was aged in a combo of first-fill American oak casks, virgin oak casks, premium French oak casks and casks that were used to age vin doux naturel previously.
ABV: 50%

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Honeyed barley, fresh quince and apple, with a slight hint of festive spice growing.

TASTE:
Melon, Seville orange and another spicy touch of crushed clove.

FINISH:
Lingering baking spices and butterscotch.
